Saad Masood Joins Pindiz: Multan Sultans Secure Cash Trade as Rawalpindi Bolsters Squad for PSL 11

Saad Masood Joins Pindiz: Multan Sultans Secure Cash Trade as Rawalpindi Bolsters Squad for PSL 11

Multan Sultans has transferred all-rounder Saad Masood to Rawalpindi Pindiz as part of a roster adjustment ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League season. The agreement, confirmed by the franchise on Monday, will see the Rawalpindi-based side take over the player’s salary commitments for the campaign.

The deal also includes a financial component, with Multan receiving an additional payment of Rs500,000. The move gives the Sultans more room under the salary cap as they continue to shape their squad for PSL 11, which is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.

In a message released by the franchise, Multan Sultans acknowledged the player’s contribution before his departure. “The Multan Sultans would like to take this opportunity to thank Saad Masood and wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter of his career with Rawalpindi Pindiz.”

PSL 11 set for expanded format

The new edition of the Pakistan Super League will introduce two additional franchises, Rawalpindi Pindiz and the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, expanding the competition to eight teams. The tournament is set to begin in Lahore on March 26, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars scheduled to face the Kingsmen in the opening match.

A total of 44 matches will be played across 39 days, with each side competing in ten group-stage fixtures. The top four teams will progress to the playoffs before the final, which is scheduled for May 3 at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Venues across six cities

Matches will be held in six cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Peshawar. Faisalabad and Peshawar will stage Pakistan Super League games for the first time.

Gaddafi Stadium will host the most fixtures with 15 matches, followed by Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with 11. Other venues include Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, National Bank Stadium in Karachi and Multan Cricket Stadium, while the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar will stage a match on March 28 between Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi Pindiz.
