Quetta, Multan Swap Players as PSL 11 Trade Window Opens

Quetta, Multan Swap Players as PSL 11 Trade Window Opens

The PSL 11 trade window opened and the first deal came within hours. Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans quickly agreed on a swap as both sides looked to adjust their squads.

The two franchises completed a four-player exchange that changes their plans for the next season.

Multan Sultans picked up Ahmed Daniyal and Jahanzaib Sultan. In return, Quetta Gladiators received Faisal Akram and Arafat Minhas. The move starts the Quetta Gladiators Multan Sultans trade activity before the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Multan’s management had already retained Daniyal in the Gold category before the players auction. Jahanzaib Sultan had also joined their roster earlier for Rs6 million. Now the franchise hopes the pace and balance those two offer will strengthen their bowling rotation.

Quetta now adds two young players who come with high expectations. Faisal Akram and Arafat Minhas were earlier valued at Rs12.5 million and Rs11 million. The Gladiators believe both players can add fresh energy to their lineup.

Early Shake-Up Before PSL 11

This Quetta Gladiators Multan Sultans trade became the first confirmed deal since the Pakistan Super League officially opened its trading window. Franchises have until March 18 to complete any exchanges.

The league allows three types of agreements. Teams may swap players with equal salary value. A franchise can also trade a player purely for money. The third option mixes both, letting sides exchange talent while adjusting finances.

All deals still require approval under the Pakistan Cricket Board salary cap regulations.

For both teams, the swap is an early step to reshape their squads. The tournament will run from March 26 to May 3, and this season the league will feature eight teams.

One deal down. More could follow quickly as the PSL 11 trade window gathers pace.
