Pakistan is gearing up for an exciting home ODI series against Australia, with the tentative schedule now revealed. According to sources, all three matches are expected to take place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. The proposed Pakistan vs Australia series will begin on 31 May, with subsequent matches scheduled for 2 and 4 June.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to confirm the official dates. These matches mark another key international assignment for Pakistan’s national team, who will face Australia for the first time in a 50-over format since 2022.
This series carries significant importance as it marks Australia's first 50-over series in Pakistan since their tour in 2022, where Pakistan triumphed 2–1 in the three-match series. Despite that memorable victory, Australia remains the dominant force in ODI head-to-heads, leading Pakistan 71–36 in 111 meetings, with four games resulting in no result.
Following their Pakistan tour, Australia is set to play a white-ball series in Bangladesh, which will feature three ODIs and three T20Is in June 2026. These fixtures will conclude a 15-year gap in bilateral ODI series between the two countries.
Pakistan is also preparing for a critical red-ball series against Bangladesh, which will take place as part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle. This will be Pakistan’s first Test series since October of last year, when they drew 1–1 with South Africa in a two-Test series.
The upcoming Bangladesh tour will begin with the first Test in Dhaka from 8 to 12 May, followed by the second Test in Sylhet from 16 to 20 May. Shan Masood will continue as the Test captain, and four uncapped players Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori have been called up to the squad.
Later in the year, Pakistan’s Test team will face England, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies in an action-packed series of international encounters.
