Pakistan T20 World Cup jersey is rolled for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, ending days of suspense around the launch after government clearance confirmed the team’s participation in the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board revealed the new strip during the 3rd T20I against Australia at Gaddafi Stadium, turning the match evening into a dual occasion for fans. Captain Salman Ali Agha and several squad members featured in the launch video released across the board’s digital platforms.
Branded as the Vanguard Markhor Edition, the jersey sticks to Pakistan’s traditional green but adds layered dark patterns inspired by the Markhor, the country’s national animal. The design keeps a sharp, modern look while tying in a strong national symbol, a move the board believes connects identity with occasion.
The unveiling had originally been scheduled earlier, but was postponed while discussions around Pakistan’s World Cup participation continued at the government level. Approval came after high-level talks, clearing the way for both the squad’s travel plans and official tournament branding.
There is also a major fixture update tied to that decision. Pakistan will feature in the T20 World Cup but will boycott the scheduled group match against India. Authorities confirmed the stance publicly, closing the door on the February 15 clash that was initially listed in the Colombo leg of the event.
With the jersey now out and logistics settled, Pakistan’s World Cup buildup moves fully into match mode.
