Pakistan Women produced a rapid start during the powerplay against Zimbabwe Women in the PAK W vs ZIM W 1st T20I at the National Stadium in Karachi. Her dismissal slowed Pakistan’s momentum slightly, but the hosts still maintained a strong scoring rate. Saira Jabeen added a quick five runs before becoming Sibanda’s second wicket of the innings.
At the end of the powerplay, Pakistan Women stood at 69/3 with Ayesha Zafar unbeaten on 18 from eight balls, while Natalia Pervaiz remained at the crease on one run. Pakistan will now look to build on the aggressive start and post a challenging total in the Karachi encounter.
For Zimbabwe Women, captain Nomvelo Sibanda was the standout bowler during the powerplay, picking up two wickets while conceding 21 runs in her two overs. Precious Marange also contributed with one wicket, although the visitors struggled to contain Pakistan’s attacking batting approach.
The PAK W vs ZIM W live action has already delivered an entertaining start for fans in Karachi, with Pakistan Women showing clear intent to dominate the opening game of the series.
