Muhammad Waseem Rejoins Karachi Kings Ahead of High-Stakes Peshawar Zalmi Clash

KARACHI: Muhammad Waseem has linked up again with Karachi Kings ahead of their upcoming fixture in PSL 11, with the side set to face Peshawar Zalmi at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday.

The UAE captain had briefly left the squad after being called back by the Emirates Cricket Board to take part in a domestic 50-over competition. After completing the required appearances, he has now returned to Karachi’s setup.

Karachi Kings acknowledged his return with a light-hearted social media post, where Muhammad Waseem joked about his short trip. “I just went back to the UAE to bring some chocolates,” he said in a video shared by the franchise.

Impact on Karachi Kings Campaign

Waseem has featured in three PSL 11 matches so far, scoring 61 runs. His campaign began with a dismissal for no score against Quetta Gladiators, but he followed it up with contributions against Lahore Qalandars and Rawalpindi, helping stabilise the top order.

His return strengthens a Karachi Kings side that has made a positive start to the season. The team currently sits near the top of the points table with six points from three matches.

Karachi Kings are led by David Warner and feature a mix of local and overseas players, including Hasan Ali, Moeen Ali, Adam Zampa and Reeza Hendricks.
