Revised PSL 11 Schedule: Karachi, Lahore to Host All Games

Revised PSL 11 Schedule: Karachi, Lahore to Host All Games

The Pakistan Cricket Board has locked in changes that reshape the tournament’s entire feel. The PSL 11 revised schedule 2026 confirms a tighter, more controlled event, with Lahore and Karachi now carrying the full weight of hosting duties.

The competition still begins on March 26. Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, step out first against Hyderabad Kingsmen. There will be no opening ceremony, no extended buildup. Just the match.

Under the Pakistan Super League revised schedule, the tournament shrinks in geography but not in scale. Forty-four matches packed into 39 days. Lahore gets 22. Karachi matches that number. Two cities, one continuous stretch of cricket.

The board made it clear this was not a casual adjustment. The shift follows consultations at the highest level, with security and broader regional factors shaping the call. Matches will start without spectators. The situation will be reviewed as the tournament progresses.

Tournament structure and key venues

Karachi hosts the qualifier at the National Stadium. Lahore takes charge of the final stretch, including both eliminators and the title clash at Gaddafi Stadium. That split matters more than it looks. Conditions vary. Teams that read them well could gain an edge late in the tournament.

The PSL 11 revised schedule 2026 also quietly drops the multi-city model that once defined the league. Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar were all in the original plan. Now, only two remain.

“Initially, matches will be held without crowds, and this will continue depending on the global situation.” Naqvi said.

The opening ceremony has also been scrapped, and the tournament will start directly with the March 26 fixture.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged the changes were not ideal but said the priority is to keep the league running smoothly. He added that broadcast coverage will be strengthened to maintain fan engagement.

The Pakistan Super League revised schedule runs until May 3, keeping the original window intact despite structural changes. Teams now face a tighter, more demanding run, where consistency will decide the title.
