LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has finalised the match officials for the PSL 11 final, with Peshawar Zalmi set to face Hyderabad Kingsmen at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Sri Lanka’s Roshan Mahanama will oversee proceedings as match referee. A former member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, Mahanama has been a regular presence in the league and has officiated across all previous editions, bringing extensive experience into the final.
On-field duties will be handled by Ahsan Raza and Chris Gaffaney. Both are part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires. The third umpire role has been assigned to Alex Wharf. However, Asif Yaqoob will serve as the fourth umpire.
The panel combines local and international officials. But, all four have prior experience in high-pressure matches at the international level.
Hyderabad Kingsmen will be led by Marnus Labuschagne, with Hassan Khan as vice-captain. Their squad includes Usman Khan, Akif Javed, Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Ali, Kusal Perera, Glenn Maxwell, Hammad Azam, Riley Meredith, Sharjeel Khan, Maheesh Theekshana and others.
Peshawar Zalmi, captained by Babar Azam, have named a squad featuring Mohammad Haris, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aamir Jamal, Khurram Shahzad, Kusal Mendis, Michael Bracewell, Shahnawaz Dahani and Nahid Rana among others.
Both sides head into the PSL 11 final with balanced squads. This will set up a closely contested match to conclude the tournament.
