Fakhar Zaman Smashes 50-Ball Century to Shatter PSL Records in Lahore Masterclass

LAHORE: Fakhar Zaman delivered a masterclass in power-hitting at the Gaddafi Stadium. He smashed a scintillating century against Quetta Gladiators to reignite Lahore Qalandars' PSL 11 campaign. In what was a vintage "Fakhar-Storm," the left-handed opener reached the milestone in just 50 deliveries.

From the first over, Fakhar signaled his intent. He dismantled Quetta’s pace battery with his trademark high-backlift and fearless bat swing.

With this ton, Fakhar has officially entered the record books. He now sits second on the list of most centuries in PSL history, claiming his 3rd hundred to move past Kamran Akmal and Sharjeel Khan. He now trails only Babar Azam (4) for the most triple-figure scores in the tournament’s history. 

This performance also propels him into the top three of the all-time PSL run-scoring charts, overtaking Shoaib Malik.

• Most Runs for a Single Franchise: Fakhar Zaman extended his record as the highest run-scorer for a single franchise, having now scored over 3,100 runs exclusively for the Lahore Qalandars.
• 100 Sixes Milestone: He is the first player in PSL history to hit over 100 sixes for a single team.
• Fastest Century for Lahore Qalandars: His 50-ball ton is one of the fastest recorded for the franchise. 

Fakhar currently sits second on the all-time PSL run-scoring charts with 3,143 runs, trailing only Babar Azam, who has 3,792 runs.

As the race for the playoffs intensifies, Fakhar’s return to form provides the defending champions with the momentum they desperately lacked in the earlier stages of the season. 

For the Gladiators, the hundred was a reminder of Fakhar's "clutch" reputation, as he once again proved to be the thorn in their side on the grandest stage.
