Renshaw and David Power Australia to Dominant Position Against Bangladesh

Australia's middle order delivered a powerful response after an early collapse, helping the visitors reach 134/3 after 13.4 overs against Bangladesh in a rain-shortened T20 contest.

The innings began aggressively as Josh Inglis struck a six and a boundary before being trapped lbw by Nasum Ahmed for 11. Cooper Connolly followed soon after, managing just one run before Nahid Rana claimed his wicket. Captain Mitchell Marsh looked steady with 20 runs from 19 deliveries but fell to Mustafizur Rahman, leaving Australia at 44/3 at the end of the powerplay.

With Bangladesh enjoying early success, Matt Renshaw and Tim David shifted the momentum dramatically. The pair counterattacked with a mix of calculated stroke play and powerful hitting, frustrating the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Renshaw remained unbeaten on 56 from only 32 balls, smashing two fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 175.00. The left-hander brought up his half-century in just 29 deliveries and anchored the recovery superbly.

At the other end, Tim David continued his reputation as one of the game's most destructive finishers. He blasted an unbeaten 38 from 22 balls, including four sixes, maintaining a strike rate above 170.

The fourth-wicket partnership added 90 runs and completely swung the match in Australia's favor. The duo reached their fifty-run stand in just 27 deliveries, accelerating rapidly after the drinks break.

For Bangladesh, Nasum Ahmed, Nahid Rana, and Mustafizur Rahman picked up one wicket each. Mustafizur was the most economical bowler, conceding only eight runs from his two overs. However, the remaining bowlers struggled to contain Australia's aggressive middle-order assault.

With six wickets still in hand and more than six overs left in the innings, Australia appeared well-positioned to post a formidable total and put significant pressure on Bangladesh heading into the chase.
