Jacks Backs Brook, Highlights Strong Team Cohesion in England Squad

Will Jacks believes the unity in the England team is the sole factor that will help them to perform strongly in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He is also firmly backing the England T20I captain, Harry Brook, who is currently under heavy scrutiny following the infamous nightclub incident in New Zealand last year.

"It's not so much momentum, it's more about team unity and feeling strong within ourselves. We have been performing well over the last 12 months, since Harry's become captain, and we're very happy with that. What we did in the last few weeks in Sri Lanka is another stepping-stone to that.” said Will Jacks.

He said the England team has come into the T20 World Cup with plenty of confidence, so they will back themselves to achieve something special in the tournament.

"We come here full of confidence and belief, which is obviously very important. But that doesn't guarantee us anything. We know that there's amazing teams in this World Cup. Knockout cricket, if we get there, is tricky. But India on home soil, I think everyone knows they're the favorites and the team to beat." added Will Jacks.

Talking about how Harry Brook is handling all the media attention, Jacks said that he is the kind of player who always focuses on the positives and does not let negativity from others affect him.

"His kind of character is always looking on the brighter side of life. He knows what he's done, and there's nothing you can change about that, so there's no point focusing on it too much. From his perspective, he wants to let the cricket do the talking." concluded Will Jacks.
