Gladiators vs Rawalpindiz: Gladiators won by 61 runs as Jahandad Khan & Saud Shakeel starred

Quetta Gladiators dominated the contest both with bat and ball, while Rawalpindiz struggled to keep up in the chase of 183.

For Quetta, Rilee Rossouw was one of the standout performers, scoring a well-paced 53. He played a crucial role in building the innings and ensured stability in the middle overs. Captain Saud Shakeel also delivered a solid all-round performance, scoring 42 runs and later picking up two wickets, making a significant impact in both departments.

Hasan Nawaz provided the biggest momentum shift with a blistering 39 off just 16 balls. His late hitting, especially the five sixes, turned a good total into a match-winning one. Jahandad Khan was exceptional with the ball, striking early and finishing with two wickets while maintaining tight control.

Among other contributors, Usman Tariq picked up two important wickets in the middle overs, while Abrar Ahmed and Kashif Bhatti chipped in with a wicket each. Overall, Quetta’s bowling unit performed collectively well, consistently applying pressure.

On the other hand, Rawalpindiz had a disappointing outing. Captain Mohammad Rizwan had a poor start, getting out for a duck on the first ball, which immediately put the team on the back foot. Usman Khawaja showed brief intent but was run out early, failing to convert his start.

Yasir Khan played a quick knock of 22 and looked promising, but couldn’t carry on. Daryl Mitchell scored 30 but struggled with his strike rate, which slowed down the chase at a crucial stage.

Abdullah Fazal contributed 20 runs but lacked impact, while Sam Billings failed to deliver, getting out for just 1. Saad Masood was one of the few positives with an aggressive 31 off 19 balls, showing intent despite the collapse.

Lower-order players like Mubasir Khan, Asif Afridi, Ben Sears, and Mohammad Amir failed to make any significant contribution with the bat, which ultimately sealed their defeat.

In bowling, Ben Sears was the standout for Rawalpindiz with three wickets, while Mohammad Amir picked up two. However, the rest of the bowling unit struggled, especially in the death overs where they conceded heavily.

Overall, Quetta Gladiators were clinical and well-rounded, while Rawalpindiz lacked consistency and partnerships, leading to a comprehensive 61-run defeat in this Gladiators vs Rawalpindiz, PSL 11 2026 clash.
