Quetta Gladiators defeat Lahore Qalandars by 6 wickets with 22 balls remaining after successfully chasing 135 in 16.2 overs in this PSL 2026 clash.
Quetta made a strong reply after Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for 134 in 19.5 overs, with early pressure applied by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.
The chase, however, began with early setbacks as Shamyl Hussain was dismissed for a duck and captain Saud Shakeel was run out cheaply, putting Quetta under pressure at the top.
Rilee Rossouw then anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 60 off 49 balls, striking 5 fours and 2 sixes, ensuring stability throughout the chase.
Hasan Nawaz played a vital attacking role with 49 off 32 balls, missing out on a fifty but forming a match-defining partnership with Rossouw that took the game away from Lahore.
A crucial 100-run stand between Rossouw and Nawaz shifted momentum completely in Quetta’s favour and broke the back of the chase.
Dinesh Chandimal contributed 3 runs before falling, while Bevon Jacobs finished the game strongly with an unbeaten 14 off just 6 balls.
Lahore’s bowlers picked up wickets through Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sikandar Raza, and Haris Rauf, but they were unable to stop the flow of runs once the partnership settled.
The match was set up earlier by Usman Tariq’s brilliant bowling performance of 3/18, which restricted Lahore Qalandars to a below-par total and earned him the Player of the Match award.
The victory strengthened Quetta Gladiators’ position in PSL 11 2026, sealing a dominant performance in this LQ vs QG encounter.
