Rilee Rossouw Achieves PSL Landmark as First Overseas Player to Reach 100 Matches

KARACHI: Rilee Rossouw became the first overseas player to complete 100 appearances in the Pakistan Super League during Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi match at the National Stadium on Wednesday. The left-hander is only the fourth cricketer overall to reach the landmark in the league.

Rossouw was acknowledged ahead of the game with a presentation from franchise owner Nadeem Omar, who handed him a commemorative trophy marking the occasion. The plaque on the award read: “Presented to The Immortal Gladiator Rilee Rossouw for his exceptional performances in the Pakistan Super League from Nadeem Omar, Owner, Quetta Gladiators.”

Consistent Presence Across PSL Seasons

Rossouw’s association with the PSL dates back to 2017, when he first represented Quetta Gladiators. He featured in three successive editions with the franchise and was part of the side that secured the 2019 title.

The South African batter later moved to Multan Sultans. Here, he spent four seasons and added another title to his record in 2021. He returned to Quetta Gladiators ahead of the 2024 edition and has remained a regular part of their lineup.

Strong Numbers in PSL Career

Rossouw’s record places him among the leading performers in PSL history. He has accumulated 2366 runs in 94 innings. Moreover, he has maintained an average above 30 and a strike rate exceeding 140. His tally includes three centuries and 11 half-centuries. This outstanding performance reflects his role as a consistent top-order contributor.

The 100-match milestone further highlights his long-term presence in the tournament. He has featured across 10 consecutive seasons since his debut.
