Warner, Khawaja Headline Star-Studded Overseas List for PSL 11 Player Auction

Warner, Khawaja Headline Star-Studded Overseas List for PSL 11 Player Auction

The Pakistan Super League is set for a landmark shift in how teams are built, and the early registration list for the PSL 11 player auction already reads like a headline act. Former Australian opener David Warner and senior batter Usman Khawaja headline a strong overseas pool confirmed for the February 11, 2026, auction.

League officials have received registrations from 879 foreign players representing 24 countries, marking one of the largest international response rates in the tournament’s history. Australia tops the country-wise list with 60 players in the pool, including Aaron Hardie, Ashton Turner, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Moises Henriques, Jason Behrendorff, and Tanveer Sangha alongside Warner and Khawaja.

This season brings a structural reset for the PSL, with franchises moving away from the traditional draft system and into a full auction model for the first time. Each team will operate with a PKR 450 million purse, plus an additional PKR 55 million window for direct signings, giving management wider tactical control over squad construction.

All six existing franchises, along with new entrants Hyderabad and Sialkot Stallionz, have already locked in their retained players. Most sides have also confirmed direct picks, though Quetta Gladiators are yet to make those names public.

Multan Sultans enter this cycle under unusual circumstances. With no ownership group in place, the franchise goes into the auction with a completely open roster and full budget. The team’s ownership rights are scheduled to be sold separately in Lahore on February 9, just days before the main auction.

With big-name registrations and a new buying format, PSL 11 is shaping up to be one of the league’s most closely watched auctions.
