Qalandars vs Zalmi: Fakhar, Abdullah Brilliance Led Qalandars’ Strong Response in the Powerplay

Lahore Qalandars got off to a strong start in the second innings, as Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique’s brilliant batting led their response in the chase. They played confidently in the first six overs, as Zalmi removed Mohammad Naeem early in the Powerplay.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi managed to score 199, as Michael Bracewell played a stunning knock to showcase his class and experience. He was well supported by the captain Babar Azam, who also scored a brilliant fifty in the first innings.

In reply, Lahore Qalandars started the chase confidently, making sure to keep their run-rate on top. Fakhar was struggling a bit at the start, but Abdullah’s arrival at the crease eased pressure on him. The duo then built a strong partnership to take the chase forward, as Peshawar Zalmi failed to break their stand in the first six overs.

Lahore Qalandars have now scored 64 for the loss of one wicket in the Powerplay, as Fakhar and Abdullah are looking strong to take the chase forward.
