Ollie Davies Signs for Sydney Sixers as Cricket NSW Tables Season Review

Ollie Davies is set to join his Brother Joel Davies at Sydney Sixers in the next BBL season. He has signed a three-year contract with the Sixers after representing Sydney Thunder in the recently concluded BBL 15. He is a promising young player who has a solid batting technique and clear ambitions to play for Australia in the future.

Speaking about the recent development, Ollie said he is quite excited to play for Sydney Sixers in the next BBL season, as it is a great team full of quality players.

"I'm so excited to sign with the Sydney Sixers for the next three years. It's a childhood dream to play professional cricket alongside my little brother Joel. We're both stoked to pull on the magenta together and run out at the SCG.” said Ollie Davies in a statement.

"I hope I can make meaningful contributions as we fight to bring home a championship for our fans." added Ollie Davies.

Ollie Davies is set to leave Sydney Thunder at a time when the team’s recent lean run in the BBL is going to be discussed at Cricket New South Wales this week. The chief executive of Cricket NSW, Lee Germon, confirmed that the future of the team and the coach will be discussed in the coming days, however, nothing has been finalized yet.

"We're in the process of formulating some decisions in terms of the Thunder moving forward. I have a meeting this week where I'm going to be privy to the review, so I'm not in a position to make any comment." said the chief executive of Cricket NSW, Lee Germon.

Cricket New South Wales recently parted ways with their long-time coach, Greg Shipperd, in an unusual manner. It will be interesting to see what decisions are taken in the next review, as Lee Germon is keen on taking serious steps to improve the team’s performance.
