Black Caps Announce White-Ball Squads for the Upcoming Bangladesh Tour

New Zealand have announced ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming Bangladesh tour. They have dropped several key players for this white-ball tour, as many of them are currently involved in their IPL and PSL commitments.

Talking about the upcoming New Zealand vs Bangladesh series, Will O'Rourke, Matt Fisher, and Blair Tickner are set to return to the national team after recovering from injuries. Besides them, Dean Foxcroft is also back in the white-ball squad for the first time since April 2024. This suggests that the Black Caps are heading to Bangladesh with a bowling attack that is relatively new, but full of promising talent.

Meanwhile, the experienced wicketkeeper batter Tom Latham will lead the team on this tour, as regular captain Mitchell Santner is unavailable due to being active in the IPL 2026. The head coach Rob Walter is confident in the abilities of Latham, as he is a proven performer who has often led the Black Caps with a strong commitment.

Walter is also satisfied with the pace attack that has been selected for the series, as he has seen the hard work these players have put in to earn their place in the side.

“Will, Blair and Matt have been working very hard over the past few months to get themselves back on the park and back in contention for selection, and we’re pleased to welcome them back into the group,” said the head coach of New Zealand, Rob Walter.

“With the amount of cricket being played in the modern game, having depth in our bowling stocks is key. Having players of this quality come back is great for our side,” added Rob Walter.
