Multan Sultans captain Ashton Turner has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Islamabad United in the fourth match of the HBL PSL 2026 at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Under a clear evening sky at the historic Lahore venue, Turner made the tactical decision to chase, banking on the significant dew factor expected to impact the second innings. "The pitch looks like a typical Lahore beauty, but we believe the ball will come onto the bat much better under lights," Turner noted during the toss. "We want our bowlers to exploit any early assistance and then let our revamped batting lineup finish the job."
Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan expressed similar thoughts but remained confident in his side’s ability to set a massive total. "We were looking to bowl as well, but putting runs on the board in a high-pressure game has its own advantages. We have a powerful batting order and we'll aim for anything north of 190 to put the Sultans under the pump," Shadab said.
