Amir’s Prediction Tilts Toward SA, WI Over India for Semi-Finals

Amir’s Prediction Tilts Toward SA, WI Over India for Semi-Finals

Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has delivered a sharp verdict ahead of the Super Eights. The Mohammad Amir T20 World Cup prediction does not include India in the last four. It is a call that has already set off arguments across cricket circles.

Speaking on a news channel, Amir said he expects South Africa and the West Indies to progress. He pointed at India’s fragile middle order and repeated batting stumbles.

India's Batting Under The Scanner

“Look at their matches apart from the Pakistan game,” Amir noted. He argued that India’s top order has not always converted starts. In tight contests, that margin matters.

The debate around India T20 World Cup semi-final chances has intensified as the Super Eights approach. India topped their group, yet questions linger. Scores have come, but not without hiccups. Pressure moments exposed gaps. That is where Amir believes stronger sides will cash in.

Amir had earlier called Abhishek Sharma a “Slogger.” The opener has since registered three ducks, strengthening Amir’s concerns about India’s batting depth.

Why South Africa, Why West Indies?

Amir praised South Africa’s pace attack and balanced spin options. He described their batting as settled and confident. No visible cracks, in his view.

On West Indies, he highlighted the spin pair of Gudakesh Motie and Akeal Hosein, alongside the presence of Jason Holder and Shamar Joseph. Add power hitters like Sherfane Rutherford and Rovman Powell, and the mix looks dangerous.

Still, not everyone agreed. Rashid Latif predicted a Pakistan versus India semi-final. Ahmed Shehzad backed India to qualify.

For now, the Mohammad Amir T20 World Cup prediction stands firm. As for India T20 World Cup semi-final chances, the Super Eights will provide the only answer that matters.
