Pakistan White-Ball Coach Mike Hesson took to social media with an emotional and heartfelt post after back-to-back wins in the UAE T20I tri-series against Pakistan:

“These back-to-back wins are for all those who have endured through the floods in Pakistan. Some are faring very poorly, and we are wishing safety as much as strength to all the affected back home.”

Pakistan was aided by a very good all-round effort and was on the right side of a 39-run win against Afghanistan. They sent the United Arab Emirates side packing quickly when they won by 31 thanks to assertive batting from Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz, who made crucial half-centuries.

Hesson continues to show, while the group is working toward its cricketing goals on the field, it is never far from thinking about those affected by the floods and left behind as communities.

This is a poignant reminder of how sports can give voice to empathy and solidarity to those going through difficult times. This was more than just a tribute; it was deeply meaningful.
