Mike Hesson Responds to Viral Video of Alleged Clash with Captain Salman Ali Agha

The head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, Mike Hesson, dismissed rumors of heated exchange with Salman Ali Agha during the last match against Namibia. He clarified that many people misinterpreted the viral video, which showed him and Agha discussing a few things in the team’s dugout.

Mike Hesson explained that Salman was just reacting to his dismissal, which understandably upset him. Unfortunately, many people misinterpreted it and suggested that there were disagreements within the team.

"I actually got sent that video, and you guys have really got that wrong.” said Pakistan head coach, Mike Hesson.

"So, I'll talk you through what happened. So, I was going over to talk to Salman about and get Nawaz to put the pads on as a left-hander, and Agha was upset that he just got out, so he threw the bottle into the ground, nothing to do with the conversation we were having," added Mike Hesson.

The head coach then clarified that Nawaz was not sent to bat despite initial planning because the left-armer of Namibia had already completed his overs. Considering that, the team decided to send in Shadab Khan at the number five position.

“And then, obviously, as I said, once the left-arm spinner finished, we talked about Shadab, going and getting his pads on to come in to Nawaz," said Mike Hesson.

"So, it was a really simple conversation that often he wasn't even part of. He was just standing there, being pretty disappointed that he was out, and it just happened to be in the crossfire. So, amazing what people can interpret sometimes," concluded Mike Hesson.
