Islamabad United’s Relentless Attack Bundles Out Lahore Qalandars for 100

Islamabad United’s stunning bowling dismantled the Lahore Qalandars’ batting lineup, leaving the defending champions bowled out at 100 after 18.3 overs in the 16th match of PSL 2026 at the National Stadium.

Electing to bowl first on a surface that offered subtle lateral movement and consistent bounce, Shadab Khan’s men justified the decision almost immediately. The tone was set by Chris Green, whose opening spell was a masterclass in disciplined line and length. Green drew first blood by dismissing the dangerous Mohammad Naeem (1).

The Qalandars’ middle order, often their saving grace, failed to provide any resistance against a relentless United attack. Abdullah Shafique’s struggles continued as he was undone by a swing delivery from Imad Waseem, departing for a meager contribution. With the pressure mounting, the introduction of spin proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Lahore's aspirations of a high total.

Skipper Shadab Khan exploited the slight grip available on the Karachi deck. His variations forced errors from the likes of Rubin Hermann and Asif Ali, both of whom fell while trying to inject momentum into a stagnating innings. The Qalandars found themselves in a precarious position at 76/6, with the tail exposed far earlier than anticipated.
