Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi: Saad Baig, Azam Khan Shine as Zalmi Crush Kings by 159 Runs

Karachi Kings faced a heavy defeat against Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL 11 2026 encounter, falling short by 159 runs while chasing 247. The Kings’ innings collapsed early with their top order failing to make an impact. Muhammad Waseem and David Warner were dismissed without scoring in the first two overs, leaving the team reeling at 4/2.

Salman Agha managed only 5 runs before falling lbw to Iftikhar Ahmed, while Saad Baig offered a brief resistance with 14 off 11 balls. Azam Khan stood out with 25 runs off 27 balls, and Moeen Ali contributed 9, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build partnerships.

Khushdil Shah, Abbas Afridi, and Adam Zampa were among the quick wickets taken by Sufiyan Muqeem and Nahid Rana. The Kings were eventually bowled out for 87 in just 16.1 overs.

Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers dominated from start to finish. Nahid Rana emerged as the star with figures of 3/7 in 4 overs, while Sufiyan Muqeem and Iftikhar Ahmed picked up three wickets each. Shoriful Islam also chipped in with 1/23, ensuring the Kings could not recover.

The match saw a poor start for Karachi Kings in the powerplay, losing three wickets for just 33 runs. Strategic timeouts and reviews could not turn the tide, as Zalmi’s bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths throughout.

Despite Saad Baig and Azam Khan’s efforts, Karachi Kings never looked in the game. Peshawar Zalmi’s clinical performance secured them a commanding 159-run victory in this PSL 11 2026 showdown.
