Karachi Kings Strengthen Squad with Adam Zampa and Mir Hamza Ahead of PSL 11

Karachi Kings have continued to reinforce their roster for the PSL 11 Player Auction, adding Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa and left-arm pacer Mir Hamza to their squad.

The 33-year-old Mir Hamza was picked for PKR 2.4 crore, extending his longstanding association with the franchise. Hamza has been part of the Karachi Kings for four seasons and has featured in five PSL editions overall, including four appearances with Quetta Gladiators. In 29 PSL matches, the pacer has claimed 33 wickets at an average of 23.57.

Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa joins the Kings for his first-ever PSL campaign after being signed for PKR 4.5 crore. Currently representing Australia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Zampa is one of the leading white-ball spinners globally. He has picked up 139 wickets in T20 Internationals at an average of 20.99, and his overall T20 record boasts 401 wickets in 323 matches at 21.39.

Karachi Kings also acquired Aqib Ilyas for PKR 60 lakh to enhance the team’s depth. Earlier in the auction, the franchise strengthened their lineup with David Warner, Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, and wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan. Warner returned for PKR 7.9 crore after leading the side in PSL 10, while Azam Khan was signed for PKR 3.25 crore and Salman Ali Agha for PKR 5.85 crore.

Ahead of the PSL 11 Auction, Karachi Kings had retained a strong core including Hasan Ali (Platinum), Mohammad Abbas Afridi (Diamond), Khushdil Shah (Gold), and Saad Baig (Emerging). The team also added England all-rounder Moeen Ali through a direct signing, giving the squad additional firepower.

With these strategic additions, Karachi Kings are set to enter PSL 11 with a balanced squad combining experience, star power, and promising domestic talent.
