Islamabad United has played high-intensity Powerplay against Multan Sultans, reaching 54/1 after the opening six overs of Match 4 in PSL 2026.

After being put into bat by Sultans’ skipper Ashton Turner, United’s openers faced a disciplined new-ball attack. The early breakthrough came in the third over when the pace battery of Multan struck, dismissing the dangerous Devon Conway (26 off 23 balls). 

However, the momentum shifted quickly as Andries Gous and youngster Sameer Minhas stabilized the innings. Conway showcased his trademark elegance, piercing the off-side gap with consecutive boundaries, while Minhas used his feet well against the spinners in the Powerplay. The duo capitalized on a few loose deliveries, keeping the run rate hovering near nine per over in the powerplay.

Multan’s bowlers initially found some lateral movement under the lights, but as the ball softened, the surface appeared to flatten out. With United well-placed at 54/1, the middle overs now set the stage for a massive total if this partnership continues to flourish.
