Islamabad United has signed New Zealand wicketkeeper batter Devon Conway for the next PSL season. The franchise secured Conway in a massive Rs 63 million deal, signaling their intent to go big in acquiring top international T20 stars for PSL 2026.
Devon Conway is a well-reputed New Zealand batter who has vast experience of playing T20 cricket. His aggressive batting up the order makes him a top pick for many teams in the franchise cricket world. Keeping that in view, Islamabad United went after him with a big budget, as his performances could prove vital for the team in the tournament.
Islamabad United announced the direct signing of Devon Conway through a social media post. The franchise shared an animated poster of Conway, stating that the Kiwi star is ready to light up the PSL 2026 season in red colors.
"The 4th Fastest man to reach 1,000 runs in T20I cricket joins Islamabad United. Devon Conway it is! The Kiwi star is ready to light up the #HBLPSL11 as our direct signing," said Islamabad United in a social media post.
The major signing of the Kiwi batter comes a day after Islamabad United announced its player retentions. They have retained three players for the upcoming season, including Shadab in Platinum, Salman Irshad in Gold and Andries Gous in the Silver category.
The stage is now set for Islamabad United to secure more big players in the upcoming PSL 2026 auction, scheduled for February 11.
