Islamabad United Add Mohammad Faiq to Squad Ahead of PSL 11

Three-time Pakistan Super League champions Islamabad United have strengthened their lineup ahead of the upcoming season by adding top-order batter Mohammad Faiq to their squad.

The franchise confirmed the development on Friday through its official social media platforms, announcing Faiq’s inclusion as preparations intensify for the much-anticipated PSL 11 campaign.

Faiq Returns to the United Setup

The 28-year-old right-handed batter was previously part of the Islamabad United squad last season but did not get an opportunity to feature in any matches. Despite that, the management has shown confidence in his abilities by bringing him back into the side for the new edition.

Faiq has built a strong reputation in Pakistan’s domestic T20 circuit. His aggressive batting style and ability to dominate bowlers at the top of the order make him a valuable addition to the squad.

In his recent T20 performances, the batter accumulated 443 runs in just 12 matches, maintaining a remarkable average of 63.28. His explosive approach is further reflected in his strike rate of 189.31. During this run, Faiq also smashed two centuries and two half-centuries, underlining his consistency and big-hitting capability.

With Islamabad United looking to reclaim the PSL trophy, the inclusion of an in-form domestic batter adds further depth and flexibility to their batting department.
