The IPL 2026 auction has finally ended, with all the 10 teams finalizing their squads for the next year’s mega event. The auction witnessed intense bidding wars for several local and international players, making the event highly engaging. The rising Australian all-rounder, Cameron Green, stole the limelight of the show as Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for a whopping INR 25.20 crore, making him the most expensive overseas buy in the IPL history.
The event was held in Abu Dhabi, where representatives from each IPL franchise were present. Looking at the IPL auction 2026 players list, it became clear that all franchises were focused on building balanced team combinations rather than simply buying expensive names. As a result, many notable players went unsold, while some low-key names attracted big bids during the event.
Besides Cameron Green (INR 25.20 crore) and Matheesha Pathirana (INR 18 crore), India’s local uncapped boys Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma became the point of interest for many teams. In the end, Chennai Super Kings finally won the bidding war for them, as they bought the duo for a staggering INR 14.2 crore each. This highlights how highly these two players are valued ahead of the upcoming edition, which will start on March 26 and run until May 31.
In this article, we will take a look at how each team is stacked at the end of the auction held in Abu Dhabi. We will also look at all those players who went unsold in the event, showcasing how franchises prioritized buying quality over star-power in the IPL 2026 auction. Let’s first take a look at the final squads of each franchise below.
The defending champions have kept the core of their squad intact, as Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Josh Hazlewood and other notable RCB players retained their place in the team. Venkatesh Iyer became their only high-profile buy, as he was bought for INR 7 crore to solidify the middle order of the team.
