Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Islamabad United Live: United Opt to Bowl

KARACHI: Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and elected to bowl first against the in-form Hyderabad Kingsmen in Match 36 of PSL 11 at the National Stadium.

Shadab opted to field citing the likelihood of evening dew, which traditionally makes the ball harder to grip for bowlers and eases batting conditions during the second innings. "The pitch looks like a typical Karachi deck, but we want to take advantage of any early moisture and have a clear target in front of us later on," Shadab remarked at the toss.

Hyderabad Kingsmen skipper Marnus Labuschagne, despite being asked to bat, remained upbeat. Labuschagne noted that his side is comfortable setting totals, especially with opener Usman Khan coming off a record-breaking 44-ball century. The Kingsmen aim to extend their four-match winning streak, while United looks to reclaim momentum in the race for a top-two playoff spot.
