Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Multan Sultans in a thrilling clash, as Usman Khan led the way with a brilliant century to seal a big chase in the second innings. He scored 101 off 47 balls, helping Kingsmen to stun Sultans in the latest PSL encounter.
Batting first, Multan Sultans got off to a strong start, as both Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith played confidently in the Powerplay. Their partnership once again stood out for the Sultans, as Kingsmen failed to break their stand in the first ten overs.
After scoring 66, Sahibzada Farhan lost his wicket in the 13th over, as Glen Maxwell gave Kingsmen the first breakthrough in the match. Josh Philippe then joined Steve Smith in the middle and built a strong partnership to steady the innings, giving Sultans a strong charge towards a big total.
Taking advantage of the batting-friendly Karachi surface, Steve Smith then scored a superb century off just 50 balls, helping Multan Sultans to post 213 at the end of the first innings.

These early wickets brought huge pressure on the Kingsmen, however, the arrival of Usman Khan at the crease changed the momentum of the match. The wicketkeeper batter played a scintillating knock that stunned Multan Sultans. He was well supported by Marnus Labuschagne at the other end, who also played well and scored 61 in today’s match.
Usman then scored his first century of the PSL 2026 season, giving Hyderabad Kingsmen a remarkable opportunity to seal a big chase even after losing early wickets. He scored 101 off just 47 balls, which eventually allowed Hyderabad to hunt down the target in the final over of the match. They have now secured fourth position on the PSL 2026 points table, keeping their hopes to qualify for the tournament playoffs still alive.
