Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Islamabad United Live Powerplay: United Reaches 43/2

LAHORE: Islamabad United has made a confident start to their chase, reaching 43/2 after 6 overs in their pursuit of the 187-run target set by the Hyderabad Kingsmen. Despite losing two wickets, the United top order tried to maintain a scoring rate to keep the pressure on the Kingsmen bowlers during the Powerplay.

Opening batsman Devon Conway provided a solid platform with a brisk 25 off 20 deliveries, including two boundaries and a six. He looked comfortable against the new ball, rotating the strike and punishing any loose deliveries. The early departure of Sameer Minhas (6 off 4) and Mohsin Riaz (5 off 4) sowed the momentum slightly as Hyderabad sought to claw their way back into the contest through disciplined bowling.

Shahdab Khan is on the crease with Conway. Shadab also contributed quick runs to ensure the required run rate did not climb too high. 

The Kingsmen bowlers, led by Mohammad Ali and Akif Javed, managed to pick up key breakthroughs to prevent United from running away with the game early on.

As the fielding restrictions were lifted, skipper Shadab Khan joined Conway at the crease to stabilize the innings. The duo focused on building a partnership to navigate the middle overs against the Hyderabad spin attack. With 144 runs still required from 14 overs, the match remains finely balanced in this high-stakes Eliminator 2.
