Hyderabad Kingsmen Stun Karachi Kings to Register First Win in PSL 2026

Hyderabad Kingsmen secured their first win in the PSL 2026 season by defeating Karachi Kings in the latest clash. A stunning opening batting show by Kingsmen laid the foundation before Hassan Khan and Irfan Khan sealed the chase with a stunning partnership.

Batting first, Karachi Kings didn’t have a great start, as Reeza Hendricks got out early in the Powerplay. Muhammad Waseem and Salman Agha then played confidently to negate the Kingsmen attack, however, Hunain Shah made the breakthrough by removing Salman for 24 runs.

The youngster Saad Baig then came to the crease and played a steady knock, as Kingsmen kept the pressure by taking regular wickets. He scored 53 off 37 balls before being retired out due to tactical reasons.

Moeen Ali then took charge and played aggressively to take the scoreboard forward. His blazing knock of 44 runs stunned the Kingsmen, as it allowed Karachi to recover and post 188 at the end of the first innings.

Coming out to chase the target, Hyderabad Kingsmen put on a strong show, as the openers played sensibly to build a foundation. However, after setting up the tempo, they panicked in the middle overs, as Karachi Kings picked regular wickets to come back into the match.

Fortunately, Hyderabad Kingsmen held their nerves to take the game deep, as they knew the target could be chased down. A solid partnership between Irfan Khan and Hassan Khan then sealed the chase in the final over, giving Hyderabad Kingsmen their first victory in the PSL 2026 season. Hassan Khan was named Player of the Match, as his knock of 33 runs proved vital for the Kingsmen in the end.
