Fatima Sana and Tasmia Rubab Lead Pakistan Women’s Early Charge Against Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe Women struggled in their chase of 331 runs in the first ODI at Karachi. By the end of the first Powerplay (0.1-10.0 overs), they were at 43/2, with Pakistan Women maintaining tight control.

Fatima Sana played a key role in breaking Zimbabwe’s top order, dismissing Christine Mutasa (1 off 6) and Kelly Ndiraya (11 off 17) in quick succession. This left Zimbabwe at a challenging 34/2, with the pressure mounting. This outstanding performance from Sana has been a key highlight in the Pakistan W vs Zimbabwe W ODI.

Kelis Ndhlovu and Beloved Biza showed resilience, keeping Pakistan at bay and preventing further wickets. Ndhlovu was 21* off 35 balls, while Biza was 8* off 8 balls, both looking to rebuild the innings for Zimbabwe.

Pakistan Women’s bowlers, spearheaded by Tasmia Rubab, held a tight grip on the match. Rubab bowled five overs for just 11 runs, maintaining consistent pressure and ensuring Zimbabwe couldn’t break free.

With 49/2 on the scoreboard after 11 overs, Pakistan Women remain in a commanding position.
