Farhan Breaks Into Top Three as ICC T20I Rankings See Major Shake-Up

Farhan’s remarkable form at the top of the order has reshaped the ICC T20I Rankings. The right-hander has piled up 283 runs in five innings at an outstanding average of 70.75, making him the leading run-scorer of the tournament so far. His surge earned him 810 rating points, lifting him two positions to secure third place globally.

He now trails England’s Phil Salt, who sits second with 815 points, by just five points. India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to occupy the top spot with 877 points despite a quieter tournament.

While Farhan enjoyed a significant boost, several of his teammates experienced ranking drops. Opener Saim Ayub slipped three places to 34th. Former captain Babar Azam fell one spot to 36th, while current skipper Salman Ali Agha moved down to 38th. Fakhar Zaman dropped to 88th.

Bowlers’ Rankings Update

In the bowling charts, spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped from third to fifth with 712 rating points. Mohammad Nawaz dropped three places to 12th.

Among the pacers, Mohammad Salman Mirza climbed to 18th, while Shaheen Shah Afridi rose four spots to 31st. One of the biggest leaps came from Usman Tariq, who surged 59 positions to reach 55th.

Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem slipped to 60th, Shadab Khan improved to 65th, Haris Rauf dropped to 81st, and Saim Ayub fell to 66th in the bowlers’ list.

India’s Varun Chakaravarthy continues to lead the bowlers’ rankings, followed by Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan in second. South Africa’s Corbin Bosch made a notable jump of 21 places to third.

In the all-rounders’ category, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza reclaimed the No.1 spot, pushing Saim Ayub to second, while India’s Hardik Pandya remains third.

Farhan’s rise reflects Pakistan’s strong presence in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with the race for top ranking spots heating up across all departments.
