ECB Delegation Begins Inspection for Pakistan-Hosted ODI Tri-Series
LAHORE: An England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) reconnaissance team has arrived in Pakistan to assess security and operational arrangements ahead of England’s participation in the Pakistan-hosted ODI tri-series.
The delegation began its inspection in Lahore, where it is expected to review venues and meet security officials and representatives of the local administration. The team will also travel to Rawalpindi to assess arrangements at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The ECB delegation’s visit is part of the routine assessment process ahead of England’s tour. The inspection comes with the ODI tri-series between Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka scheduled to take place later this month.
The tri-series will run from October 18 to 31, with matches split between Rawalpindi and Lahore. Pakistan will play Sri Lanka in the opening fixture in Rawalpindi on October 18, followed by Pakistan’s first meeting with England at the same venue on October 20.
Sri Lanka and England will face each other in Rawalpindi on October 22 before the teams move to Lahore for the remaining fixtures. Pakistan will meet England on October 25, while Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play on October 27.
The final league fixture, between Sri Lanka and England, is scheduled for October 29 at Gaddafi Stadium. The top two teams will then meet in the final in Lahore on October 31.

England will join the two sides for the ODI tri-series after the T20I leg concludes.
