David Warner Breaks Silence on Viral Video Involving Moeen Ali

Karachi Kings captain David Warner has broken his silence over a recent video that allegedly showcased his argument with Moeen Ali and Kings head of strategy and team director Haider Azhar. He refuted all the rumors suggesting he had a heated exchange with them after the match. Instead, Warner clarified that it was just simple banter that was misinterpreted by many people.

A clip that spread widely on social media seemed to show David Warner walking toward Moeen in an aggressive manner before Karachi’s team director Haider Azhar stepped in and pulled him away.

The video led to speculation of unrest in the Karachi Kings camp, with fans thinking there was a disagreement between the two senior players on the field.

However, David Warner came up with a clarification, saying that there are no disagreements within the team, and people might have misinterpreted the context of the viral footage.

"Calm down, mate. You have zero context. The our manager always wants to shake hands first. Has nothing to do with Mo, it’s called team banter," clarified Karachi Kings captain David Warner.

Besides David Warner, Haider Azhar also came up with a clarification, saying both Warner and Moeen Ali were joking with him.

"Not true! Both of them were making fun of me!" said Karachi Kings head of strategy and team director, Haider Azhar.

Talking about the recent match, Karachi Kings showed their strength on the field with a five-wicket win over RawalPindiz. Chasing 198, they reached the target with four balls left, courtesy of a power-packed batting performance by David Warner and Azam Khan.

The Kings captain Warner played a steady innings and scored a half-century, giving the team a solid start in the chase. Azam Khan then took charge and finished the job with a brilliant 74 off 34 balls, showcasing his skills to play well under pressure. By winning the match, Karachi Kings have secured top spot on the PSL 2026 points table, with three wins in three games.
