Babar Azam leading Peshawar Zalmi to PSL 11 glory drew strong reactions from across the cricketing community. As Zalmi secured their second title, several former players and experts took to social media. 

They shared their appreciation for the team’s performance and leadership. It became one of the most talked-about PSL 11 reaction moments of the season..

Ahmed Shehzad was among the first to respond, praising both the team and its supporters.

"Peshawar Zalmi are the champions of PSL 11! What an incredible journey and a truly dominant performance. From start to finish, they showed class, passion, and determination," Shehzad wrote.

Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also shared his thoughts, focusing on the successful execution of the tournament despite challenges. He commended the efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board and its leadership.

Younis Khan praised Zalmi’s consistent performances throughout the competition, crediting Babar’s captaincy as a key factor behind their success, further strengthening discussions around Babar Azam leadership.

Match Recap: Zalmi Finish Strong

The final at Gaddafi Stadium saw Zalmi defeat Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets. Choosing to bowl first, Babar’s strategy proved effective as Kingsmen were restricted to 129 in 18 overs.

Saim Ayub stood firm with 54 off 50 balls, but lacked support as wickets fell regularly.

In response, Zalmi recovered from 40-4 through an 85-run partnership between Aaron Hardie and Abdul Samad. Samad scored 48 off 34, while Hardie remained unbeaten on 56 from 39 balls, guiding the team to victory with 28 balls to spare.
