The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is on the hunt for a major sponsorship deal worth PKR 1,665 crore. This deal will cover 140 Team India matches across the 2025 to 2028 period, including bilateral series, domestic tournaments, and ACC and ICC events.

The search comes after the BCCI ended its contract with Dream11, following the passage of the Online Gaming Regulation Bill in Parliament. Dream11 had held the title sponsorship since 2023 for PKR 1,325 crore. With the new legislation restricting online gaming advertising, the BCCI is keen to avoid similar partnerships in the future.

While a new sponsor may not be in place for the Asia Cup 2025, sources suggest the board is confident of finalising the deal before the Women’s Cricket World Cup starts on September 30th. The BCCI has reportedly set its sights on PKR 13 crore per bilateral match and PKR 5.5 crore for ACC and ICC tournaments. These figures exceed the previous Dream11 deal but remain below the earlier sponsorship by Byju’s.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed to ANI that the board will not have any dealings with online gaming companies in the future. Analysts believe that this will redefine the trend of sponsoring in Indian cricket, whereby companies with diverse backgrounds in other fields get a greater chance to sponsor their name with Team India.

The weeks ahead will be critical as the BCCI seeks sponsorship agreements with prospective sponsors. Fans and brands are keeping a closer eye on the next face of Indian cricket to take part in the Asia Cup 2025 and beyond. However, Team India is ready to compete with or without a sponsor for the tournament.
