Lamine Yamal Brace Helps Barcelona Beat Levante in La Liga 2026

Barcelona moved to the top of La Liga 2026 after producing a strong comeback to beat Levante 4-2 in an entertaining contest at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia.

The Catalan side made a quick start and took control early in the game. Xavi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute, giving Barcelona an early advantage and putting Levante under pressure.

Barcelona continued to look dangerous going forward, with Lamine Yamal becoming the main threat for the home side. He struck first for the Catalan giants in the 19th minute before putting Barcelona back in front shortly after half-time. His brilliant penalty in the 48th minute left Levante clueless, as they were already under pressure from the start.

Levante, however, refused to give up. Ivan Romero pulled one back in the 79th minute to give the home side renewed hope. The late goal added pressure on Barcelona, with Levante pushing for another opening in the final stages.

Barcelona stayed composed and managed to put the result beyond doubt in the closing minutes. Karim Adeyemi scored in the 92nd minute to seal all three points for the visitors and complete a four-goal performance from Barcelona.

The result was especially important for Barcelona as it lifted them to the top of the La Liga table. Their attacking quality made the difference in a match where both teams created plenty of opportunities.

Yamal was the standout player for Barcelona. His two goals helped the visitors take the lead over Levante, giving the team the platform needed to finish the match strongly. His second goal from the penalty spot proved particularly important as Levante were still pushing for a comeback late in the game.

Levante showed plenty of fight after falling behind early. Romero and Brugue’s late strikes gave them a chance of taking something from the match, but Barcelona's response in stoppage time ended their hopes.

Barcelona can now take confidence from the result as they continue their campaign at the top of the standings. Their attacking display, combined with their ability to handle Levante's late pressure, helped them secure a valuable away victory and strengthen their position in the title race.
