“INSHALLAH Will Be Back Soon” – Zaman Khan’s Shoulder Surgery Successful as Pacer Targets Recovery

KARACHI: Pakistan fast bowler Zaman Khan has undergone successful surgery on his right shoulder following an injury sustained during the National T20 Cup. The 24-year-old confirmed the update on Tuesday through a social media post while recovering in the hospital.

Sharing a picture from his hospital bed, Zaman thanked the leadership of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the medical staff for their support during the procedure and rehabilitation process.

“ALHAMDULILLAH, the surgery has been successfully completed. Special thanks to Chairman PCB [Mohsin Naqvi], Dr. Mumraiz, and PCB Medical Team. INSHALLAH will be back soon,” he wrote.

Injury Occurred During a Domestic Fixture

The injury occurred during a National T20 Cup 2026 match between Faisalabad and Peshawar at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar. According to the PCB, the fast bowler suffered a dislocation of the Acromioclavicular Joint (ACJ) in his right shoulder while fielding.

The board later confirmed that Zaman would report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore for further rehabilitation planning with the PCB medical staff.

Replacement Announced for PSL 11

With recovery timelines still uncertain, Zaman is expected to miss the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League season. Franchise Pindiz has named left-arm seamer Jalat Khan as his replacement.

Jalat, 23, has taken 25 wickets in 14 T20 matches and previously spent time with Lahore Qalandars. The franchise welcomed the young pacer and confirmed he will join the squad for the forthcoming PSL campaign.
