The Women's Premier League, a women's T20 cricket competition is to begin its second season on February 23 according to an announcement made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Delhi and Bengaluru will host the main tournament.

The tournament will begin in Bengaluru with the current champions, Mumbai Indians going up against Delhi Capitals, the finals from the previous year. This year's competition has five teams: the Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriorz, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.
