The series commenced with a 16-run win by the West Indies in the first T20I. Rovman Powell was not beaten on 44, and the team went to 165/3. Bangladesh was bowled out for 149.
The second game was a replica of the first one. West Indies held back 149/9 and restricted Bangladesh to 135/8 by a 14-run margin. Romario Shepherd was named Player of the Match, and his performance helped put the West Indies in a commanding 2-0 position.
Bangladesh started on the bright side in the third T20I. Tanzid Hasan, a 24-year-old batsman, hit a sparkling 89 out of 62, having 9 fours and four sixes. Saif Hassan scored 23, yet the other lineup failed miserably. The disciplined West Indies bowlers kept taking wickets regularly, and Bangladesh was bowled out for 151 in 20 overs.
Shepherd was once again outstanding, taking 3/36. Both Jason Holder and Khary Pierre took two wickets, while Akeal Hosein and Roston Chase got only one wicket.
Alick Athanaze made only 1 run whereas Amir Jangoo stabilized the innings with 34 in 23 balls. Brandon King got out on 8.
Roston Chase remained calm but dominant, scoring 50 off 29 balls, including five fours and a six. Ackeem Auguste stepped up and hit 50 off 25 balls, including five sixes.
Their 91-run partnership turned the game in West Indies' favor and ultimately sealed Bangladesh's fate. Rovman Powell played the winning shot. The pursuit was over at 152/5 in 16.5 overs, and 19 balls were left.
Roston Chase was named Player of the Match for his brilliant fifty and impressive bowling. Romario Shepherd was named Player of the Series due to his all-round consistency throughout the tour. His excellent death bowling, ability to break partnerships, and influential batting made him the standout performer of the series.
The 3-0 whitewash was a clear statement from West Indies, showcasing that they are not only reviving T20 cricket but also establishing themselves as a dominant force.
For Bangladesh, it hurt the country that home advantage is of no use unless there is execution. They lost all three matches because of their failure to cope under pressure and a lack of strength in striking.
