New Zealand vs West Indies 5th ODI: NZ in Control After Young’s Fluent Fifty

New Zealand are currently in a strong position against the West Indies, courtesy of Will Young’s brilliant half-century. He played well for the visitors after losing Henry Nicholls, who got out early in the Powerplay for just 10 runs.

Will Young took advantage of his form to take the NZ innings forward, as Nick Kelly also supported him well at the other end. Due to their partnership, the Black Caps put the pressure back on the home team that was looking for more wickets after removing Nicholls.

Will Young certainly remained the key player for the Black Caps, as he played with confidence to give his team a strong start. After scoring 56 off 63 balls, Young went back to the pavilion in the 20th over, courtesy of a ripper from Lawes.  

Due to his strong knock, the Black Caps are currently at 126 for the loss of 2 wickets. They will now try to take this momentum forward in the next few overs, while West Indies will aim to break the Kelly-Chapman partnership to put pressure on the visitors.
