West Indies Seal Victory in Series Opener After Bowling Pakistan Out for 120 in Second Innings

Jayden Seales delivered a brilliant bowling performance as West Indies bowled Pakistan out for just 120 in the second innings to win the Tarouba test. Despite Babar’s valiant knock, they held their nerves in the end to put pressure on the visitors that looked completely clueless in front of a quality pace attack.

Pakistan resumed their chase after Tea at 114/9, with captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Abbas unbeaten on 53 and 22 respectively. However, their resistance did not last long, as Seales dismissed Abbas in the second over after the break.

Babar Azam was Pakistan's leading run-scorer in the innings, remaining unbeaten on 58 from 107 balls. Mohammad Abbas also showed some resistance, scoring 23 off 33 deliveries. Mohammad Rizwan was the only other Pakistani batter to reach double figures, making 11 runs after sharing a steady partnership with Babar for the fourth wicket.

For the West Indies, Jayden Seales was the standout bowler in the second innings. He took five wickets for just 20 runs, while Kemar Roach and Justin Greaves picked up two wickets each.

Pakistan had a poor start to their chase in the first session, as experienced opener Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for just three runs by Kemar Roach in the third over.

Young opener Azan Awais also failed to make an impact, scoring three runs before being caught behind off Jayden Seales in the sixth over.

Seales continued his excellent spell in the following over by removing all-rounder Salman Ali Agha for a duck. The wicket reduced Pakistan to 25/3 and put them under early pressure.

After the early blows, the innings of Pakistan never came back on track, as WI continued to pick wickets to get a grip on the contest. They looked a bit concerned when Babar Azam and Mohammad Abbas built a solid partnership towards the end, however, Seales eventually got the last laugh by dismissing the tailender smartly. The victory at Tarouba has now given WI a 1-0 lead, whereas Pakistan are now under pressure to come back strongly in the next game to square the series.
