West Indies Confirm Pakistan Test Series Schedule For July-August

West Indies Confirm Pakistan Test Series Schedule For July-August

West Indies have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Pakistan Test Series, confirming that the two-match contest will run from July 25 to August 6 as part of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.

The series will be played entirely in Trinidad and Tobago, with the opening Test scheduled at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25 to 29. The second match will take place at Queen's Park Oval from August 2 to 6.

The announcement gives both teams a clear roadmap ahead of a significant red-ball assignment. For Pakistan, the tour represents another important chapter in their World Test Championship campaign, while the Caribbean side will look to capitalize on home conditions during a packed international summer.

A notable milestone awaits the opening fixture. The Brian Lara Cricket Academy is set to host its first-ever Test match, adding extra significance to the start of the Pakistan Test Series. The venue has staged white-ball internationals and domestic matches in recent years but has never welcomed Test cricket before.

Busy Summer Ahead For West Indies

The West Indies Home Season begins with a full tour by Sri Lanka, featuring three One-Day Internationals, three T20 Internationals, and two Test matches. Action starts in Jamaica before moving to Antigua for the red-ball leg of the series.

Following Sri Lanka's visit, the Caribbean side will host New Zealand for a five-match ODI series between July 11 and July 21. Matches will be shared between Guyana and Barbados as West Indies continue one of their busiest home schedules in recent years.

Attention will then shift to the West Indies Home Season finale against Pakistan. The two Tests are expected to carry added importance given their impact on the World Test Championship standings.

Cricket West Indies Chief Executive Officer Chris Dehring urged supporters across the region to remain closely connected with the team throughout the summer.

"We want this summer to feel like a movement across the region, where fans are fully engaged with the team and part of the experience every step of the way," Dehring said.

With Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan all visiting within a short span, West Indies cricket faces a demanding stretch. The final assignment against Pakistan could prove especially significant as both teams chase valuable World Test Championship points in a fiercely competitive cycle.
