Virat Kohli Takes Fitness Test in London Ahead of Australia ODI Series

For the first time ever, Virat Kohli has completed his mandatory BCCI-supervised fitness assessment in London. This official exception focuses on his standing and commitment as India gears up for the Australia ODI tour.

While his teammates such as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shubman Gill underwent mandatory fitness testing at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. On the other hand, Kohli was allowed to take his evaluation in London, where he's currently based with his family.

Tests included the Yo-Yo test, strength evaluations, and may have included the newly introduced Bronco Test. Definitely, these were conducted under BCCI supervision to ensure standards were maintained.

Despite the deviation from protocol, Kohli has cleared the health benchmark required for selection, including the upcoming ODI series in Australia starting in October–November. His readiness is a definitive boost for Team India’s campaign.
