Vinicius Jr Targets Brazil Glory Inspired by Real Madrid Form Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026

Vinicius Jr is currently enjoying a stellar UEFA Champions League run with Real Madrid, in which his performances have proved vital for the team. The star winger now hopes to replicate a similar form for the Brazil national team, which is preparing to make a strong mark in the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.

The 25-year-old winger started the ongoing season on a mixed note. He found it tough at the start of the 2025–26 campaign, going 16 matches without a goal and even getting booed by some fans at the Bernabeu.

Fortunately, that phase is now behind him, as he has picked up form at the right time, scoring 17 goals and providing 13 assists in 43 matches for Real Madrid this season.

Even though Vinicius Jr has enjoyed great success at the club level, including two Champions League titles and three LaLiga trophies, his stint with the Brazilian team is disappointing, including only eight goals in 45 matches. Vinicius Jr now wants to rewrite this chapter, as he is preparing to represent his nation at the biggest event in the football world i.e. FIFA World Cup 2026.

"I feel more at ease, I'm happier, and when I'm happier, everyone around me is happier and more confident too," said Vinicius Jr while talking to the reporters.

"I hope that everything I do for Real I can go on to do here with the Brazilian national team. That's my biggest goal. It's where I've always dreamed of being, and I want to bring great pride to our country and a lot of joy to our entire nation." added Vinicius Jr.

Brazil is looking to have a strong World Cup this time, as their last campaign in 2022 ended in disappointment when they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Croatia. With that in mind, Vinicius Jr understands what the team expects from him, as the stakes are becoming high with each passing day.

"I know what I'm capable of and how much I've been working to be ready for the World Cup," said Vinicius Jr.
