Tymal Mills Says Pretoria Capitals Have Benefited from Ganguly, Pollock Expertise

Tymal Mills has showered praise on the Pretoria Capitals coaches, saying that they have been thoroughly good with all the players since the start of the SA20 2026 season. He added that Capitals have "tapped into" the experience of Sourav Ganguly and Shaun Pollock to reach the SA20 2026 final.

Ganguly took on the head coach role for the first time in the SA20, making it a remarkable achievement for him to lead the team to the all-important finals this year. Tymal Mills lauded his commitment towards the team, saying that he always talks about the game to bring improvement in players.

"I've loved it - it's been awesome so far both on and off the field. Ganguly has been good. He's all in, he's very committed and watching footage and always talking about the game and I think we've responded well to him.” said Tymal Mills.

He then talked about the personality of Shaun Pollock, describing him as a ‘high-energy’ individual who keeps everyone entertained in the team. Mills further said that he likes to pick Pollock’s brain to improve his bowling, as he has been a legendary bowler for South Africa.

"Polly's been good fun. He's high energy, he talks a lot, he's got stories for days which keep the boys entertained. It's been great to pick his brains and talk to him and just little bits around training.” said Tymal Mills.

Mills then said that the team benefited a lot from the experience of Sourav Ganguly and Shaun Pollock, as both are reputed ex-cricketers having plenty of knowledge about the game.

"Between Polly and Sourav there's obviously a lot of experience there and we've tapped into it as much as we can." concluded Tymal Mills.

Mills is also confident about Pretoria Capitals chances in the SA20 2026 final. He believes the team is in good touch, and ready to play hard cricket to clinch the all-important SA20 2026 trophy.
