India has performed well in the series, which has earned their players individual accolades. Shafali Verma has moved to the 6th position in the T20I batting rankings, and Renuka Singh has moved to the 6th position in the T20I bowling rankings. These rankings highlight how dominant the duo has been in the Sri Lanka series.
Shafali is the leading run-scorer in the series with 236 runs. She has almost double the runs of Smriti Mandhana, the next with 120. Renuka leads the wicket charts with four, level with Deepti Sharma, Vaishnavi Sharma, and Shree Charani.
Renuka Singh’s 4 for 21 in the third match helped her climb to sixth place. Deepti Sharma has maintained the top position in the list of T20I bowlers, which she had taken over last week.
Shafali and Renuka have also claimed one Player-of-the-Match award respectively.
The squad had clean sweeps against the West Indies in 2019 and the previous year in Bangladesh. Now, they have successfully whitewashed the Sri Lanka women for the first time.
